There Are Lips And Then There Are Yours

It lights up a room,
It’s not noticable to others,
But it blinds me,
It’s hard not to notice it.

It’s close to perfect,
I know GOD crafted it,
Maybe for me, maybe for someone else,
But they’re definitely heaven sent.

Now if mine touched yours,
Who knows what it would feel like,
My soul says one thing, my mind others,
But I won’t know until it happens.

Will it happen I don’t know,
But I’m hopeful,
Wishing, waiting, knowing it’ll be,
Everything I could dream of and more.

  1. This poem reminds me of having a crush on someone…a person you admire from afar and only long for this to happen one day. Your writing always makes it feel so personal. I for one enjoy this sneak peek into your soul ☺️
