It’s been a couple of years since I’ve been excited for a Lil’ Wayne album.
After years of waiting and controversy, Tha Carter V arrived on Friday, September 28, 2018. Birdman finally decided to open the vault and let Wayne’s most anticipated album since Tha Carter III, in my opinion, hit the shelves and streaming services worldwide.
It’s been a couple of years and depending how you have spent it following the Lil Wayne – Cash Money drama, others are looking forward to this album more than others.
During 2004-2008 arguably, no artist was more consistent lyrically than Lil Wayne. From guest appearances galore to his own mixtape releases, Wayne was consistently good and in a zone we haven’t seen many artist reach.
So when, Birdman shelved C5 the world wondered why and then came the lawsuits.
But recently, during Wayne’s Lil Weezyana Fest it looked like Wayne and Birdman would end their feud when the latter apologized live on stage.
After 4 years, a bus shooting reportedly setup by Birdman and Young Thug and a Free Weezy Album that underwhelmed, we finally have Tha Carter V.
